I started an on line weight management group and this was what I ate during Detox week.
Day 1
Breakfast: OPC beauty blend, and isotonic multi vitamin warm lemon water and an apple
Snack: celery and carrot sticks
Lunch: Yellow pepper and dried mango slices
snack: 3 strawberries, 10 oz herbal tea and a nap
Dinner: home made vegetable soup I add broccoli to make it taste a little different than yesterday.
dessert: 3 strawberries
Water so far 40 oz (I better get drinking)
A great idea from Happy is that for a reward of eating healthy we should reward ourselves with a nice bubble bath. In The Transitions journal it does suggest taking salt and bubble baths as well as get a massage or your nails done.
I also said no to Doritos that my son was eating and coffee. What did you say no to today?
We need to recognize our accomplishments if it means saying no to a donut or a cup of coffee or soda. Everytime we say no we are 1 step closer to our goal.
DAY 2
I want to know what you said no today? I had jury duty today. I was not allowed my lunch box or water into the court room so I was starving and had a major headache. I cam home and ate lunch took a nap then I canned some salsa and peppers. Plus I had to freeze a bunch of peppers. I am pretty pooped.
Here is what I ate:
Breakfast: 8 oz of lemon water(I was running late for jury duty, so I thought I would be able to snack on my veggies but I was not allowed)
Snack: sliced red and yellow peppers, dried mangos
Lunch salad(same as yesterdays)
Snack: 3 strawberries
Dinner: stir fry veggies(2t of extra virgin olive oil, red peppers,summer squash,onions, gn peppers, asparagus, garlic, fresh ginger,1t of soy sauce, Mrs. Dash) for the family I just boiled up some pasta noodle to go with the veggies, you might want to add a little chicken breast for them as well I might do that tomorrow)
water so far only 25 oz but I did have 3 cups of tea(30 oz) I will drink 20 more oz of water before I go to bed.
Exercise: 15 min of walking while talking on the phone
DAY 3
Remember TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME, ONE STEP AT A TIME, ONE GOAL AT A TIME

My goal for today was to make my lunch so I would not be tempted to eat out.

I know that I am mostly focusing on Transitions but that is because I know 6 of us are on the program(some of us are on different weeks). 4 of you have not told me what kind of weight management program you are on. Most weight management programs are set up the same way, like journalling what you eat, how much you drink and how much exercise you do. Remember this support group is to encourage you to stick with your weight management program so you can reach your goal.
Today was difficult for me because I was with a group and we stopped at 2 fast food places and then when I picked up my son he was starving so we stopped at McDs. Evan tho the food smelled delicious and my tummy was growling, I did not give into the junk food.
Here is what I ate today:
breakfast: 8 0z warm lemon water, 1 plum, 3 cherry tomatoes, OPC beauty blend and isotonix multi vitamin
snack: 1/2 yellow pepper
Lunch: salad(organic baby spinach, mixed herbs(available at walmart),grape tomatoes from my garden, 6 slice of cucumbers, 3 sliced strawberries, 1/8 chopped yellow pepper,)
Snack: 4 dried mango wedges,1 triscuit, 4 walnuts
Dinner: Stir fried veggies(1/4C sliced red onions, 2 garlic cloves diced, 1" fresh ginger minced, 1/4 orange pepper, 1 whole yellow/green pepper(wasn't quite ripe from the garden) 3 asparagus spears sauteed with 2 t olive oil and 2t soy sauce)
Dessert: 1 little orange cutie
Liquid: 8 0z lemon water, 22 oz herbal tea, 34 oz water

Lunch: salad(organic baby spinach, mixed herbs(available at walmart),grape tomatoes from my garden, 6 slice of cucumbers, 5 slices of summer squash,3 sliced strawberries, 1/8 chopped orange pepper,)
snack: apple
snack: apple(was running late and had alate dinner so needed another snack to hold me over)
Dinner: home made vegetable soup with broccoli and asparagus add to make it taste different.
liquid intake: 8 oz lemon water, 26 oz herbal tea, 36 oz water
exercise: 2 hrs of vacuuming and steam cleaning
DAY 6
Day 6 complete! One day left yeah!
My goal today was to make it through the day without cheating because I so wants some nuts! I have done it.
How is everyone doing? Two days left to send me your daily journals. Many of you have not sent them daily, that is OK as long as you are keeping track of what you eat, do and drink. If you send me your weekly journal I will enter your name 2 Xs(7Xs for those who sent it daily). Remember it doesn't matter what weight management plan you are on you should be writing down what you eat, drink, exercise.
Make it your goal to read through the attachments they will increase you knowledge and encourage you to eat healthy.
Just spoke with Happy and she will be starting Transitions on Tuesday, Would anyone who has not started this program want to start with her on tuesday? You will still be in this group you will just be a week behind. We have two that re 4 weeks ahead it is all good and encouraging.

DAY 7
Last day of Detox. How did everyone do? I did well till 9:00pm. When I came home from a victory football game, my son left 1 slice of Tony's frozen pizza out and I just picked it up and ate it. It tasted OK, but now my tummy is all bloaty. Hopefully it won't mess my weigh in up.
So here is what I did today:
Breakfast: warm lemon water, 1 egg(I know I wasn't suppose to till tomorrow but I need to eat these diced veggies)scramble with 1/2C diced onions and 1/4C diced jalapenos.
Snack: plum
Lunch: delicious salad(organic baby greens herb mix, 3 slices of summer squash quartered, 3 slices of zucchini cut in small strips, 3 slices of cucumber halved, 2 strawberries cut up)
Snack: cutie 3 triscuits
Dinner: another salad same as above but I added orange diced peppers.
snack: 1 very small slice of Tony's frozen cardboard pizza I was bad bad bad!!
Liquid intake: 80 oz water, 10 lemon water
exercise: a lot of climbing steps. I spent the whole day cleaning and laundry this required going up and down my 2 flights of steps several times (mainly because I am so forgetful).
